DETROIT (WWJ) – One person is dead and two others injured following a shooting and vehicle rollover accident Sunday morning on Detroit’s west side.

Police responded to the accident scene along West Grand Boulevard near Linwood… sometime after 3 o’clock Sunday morning.  It appears the group of five people inside the vehicle were trying to get the shooting victim to an area hospital when the rollover accident occurred.

The victim, who had been shot in the neck, later died.  Two others in the car were hospitalized after suffering injuries in the rollover.

Police continue to investigate.
