Teen Moms Plead Not Guilty Over Sit-In

DETROIT (WWJ) -  Two teens accused of trespassing at a Detroit School for pregnant girls have pleaded not guilty in court Monday.

WWJ's City Beat Reporter Vickie Thomas reports that 19-year-old Catherine Buckens and Tiffini Baldwin took part in a spring break sit-in at Catherine Ferguson Academy in April. Now they are due in court to be arraigned on trespassing charges.

The academy helps pregnant moms complete their education and also learn how to be a great parent. The school has a 90-percent graduation rate and in a recent interview with WWJ, Buckins told us she learned discipline and determination at the academy and caught three buses with her baby to make it to class.

The girls will be back in court July 7th.
