Solid State Lighting Tour At Oakland U

DTE Energy, Oakland University and the Michigan Solid State Lighting Association are hosting a product exhibit for members of the Department of Energy-backed Municipal Solid State Street Lighting Consortium Thursday, June 16 at Oakland University.

The event includes exhibits at Oakland University from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and a bus tour of LED lighting installations from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The purpose of this event is to highlight the capabilities of the companies located in Michigan to members of the consortium's Northeast region, who are holding their quarterly meeting at a nearby hotel June 16-17. The consortium was established by DOE to leverage the efforts of the many local governments that are pursuing evaluations of LED street lighting products. It collects, analyzes, and shares technical information and experience related to LED street and area lighting demonstrations, enabling participants to tap into a vast body of field data and knowledge.
