Billhighway CEO Vince Thomas Named Regional Entrepreneur Of The Year winner: Troy-based Billhighway said that its founder and CEO, Vince Thomas, had received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year of Michigan and Northwest Ohio Award for 2011 in the Business Operations category. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Vince was selected by an independent panel of judges and presented the award at a gala event at the MGM Grand last week. As the founder and CEO of Billhighway, Thomas has led the company in pioneering a revolutionary, online SaaS-based financial platform that integrates cash management and accounting for membership and donor-based, non-profit organizations. The company has a single, integrated platform that provides clients with a real-time, multi-level financial overview, including cash management, profit and loss, balance sheet and budget versus actual. The company’s clients typically see a significant increase in available cash, 5-10% on average. To date, this has resulted in Billhighway customers retaining over $100 million of cash in their organizations. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Program celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. As a Michigan and Northwest Ohio award winner, Thomas is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 National Award. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year National Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on Nov. 12.
