Pair Gets Prison In Child Sex-Cocaine Swap

SAGINAW (AP) - Two people in Saginaw have been sentenced to at least 25 years in prison for a sex-for-cocaine swap involving a 9-year-old girl.

Johnnie Griffin and the girl's grandmother were convicted in May of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Prosecutors say the 68-year-old man had sex with the girl in exchange for giving crack cocaine to her grandmother.

The Saginaw News says Griffin and the 46-year-old woman returned to court Monday for their punishment. Griffin wrote a letter to the girl's parents saying he acted wrongly and was sorry.
