CBS Radio Detroit, the parent of the Great Lakes Innovation and Technology Report, is seeking an inside digital sales account executive who is passionate about developing relationships with local clients and partners through digital products.

The candidate needs to prospect, close and manage new relationships with local clients and partners seeking regional and local consumers through digital products. This candidate should be an expert in online search, directory and lead generation products. The candidate must work creatively to bring about awareness of online opportunities in synergy with the firm’s TV and radio groups.

Skills and experience required include exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple targets; being comfortable with prospecting and cold calling, identifying client needs, cultivating effective sales strategies  and closing sales over the phone. The candidate should also be technically savvy and proficient with sophisticated advertising programs and delivery methodologies, and possesses the ability to multi task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast paced, deadline oriented team environment.

Other requirements include interpersonal skills to work closely with other teams and clients in a team like manner., an upbeat, positive manner, competitive drive and a new business ‘hunter’ mentality. Creative  prospecting skills.  Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.

Preferred Skills include two to three years experience in selling digital products. Online search and directory a plus.
