If you have a future inventor in your house, you may want to feed that imagination with a trip to The Henry Ford. Greenfield Village features a whole zone devoted to America’s most famous inventor, Thomas Alva Edison, including a machine shop and laboratory.
Kids can learn about such famous inventions as the light bulb at the laboratory, and Edison himself stops by for a one man show several times each day.
Edison stresses to people, young and old, that most of invention consists of trying again and again until an invention is right, and that failure is not bad, but part of success in discovery.
