Deadly Hit-And-Run In Royal Oak Township
ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Michigan State Police are looking for answers after a hit-and-run leaves a woman dead, and a man severely injured.
WWJ's Brian Larsen reports that the deadly accident happened in the early morning hours Monday in Royal Oak Township, at about 1:30 a.m. That's when a man and woman walking along 8 Mile Road were hit by a late 1990's to early 2000 silver Corvette. Both were taken to the hospital, where State Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 the 48-year-old woman later died. The man is not being identified at this time.
State Police say the Corvette likely has some front end damage, and anyone with information is asked to give them a call at (248) 584-5740.
