Police Look To Identify Persons In Ice Cream Van

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Police in Dearborn are investigating what they're calling a suspicious incident involving children at a local pool.

Police say that two men in a van handed out free ice cream to the kids at Summer-Stevens Park around 3 p.m. Thursday. While one handed out the cones, a passenger in the van began taking pictures of the kids.

Police are looking for information as to who the men are. Both the men are white and in their early 20's.

They were driving an orange panel van with "Airhead Ice Cream" written in purple.

Although no crime was committed  Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said his department would like to identify the van's occupants.  Police in neighboring areas have also been alerted to the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dearborn Police Tip line at (313) 943-3012.
