Heat Advisory Until 8 P.M.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Most of the WWJ listening area is under a heat advisory until 8 p.m.  with temperatures expected to hit the mid 90's Saturday.

We get more from WWJ Newsradio 950's Beth Fisher on avoiding health risks in the heat.

No heat related problems so far at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak according to emergency room physician , Dr. Ahmit Bahl...who has some tips on keeping cool in this hot weather.

One tip is to stay indoors as much as possible and out of the sun, but if you are outside Bahl says to "keep yourself well hydrated - drink lots of water."

Bahl says the big concerns in this weather are heat exhaustion....symptoms include nausea and being light-headed and heat stroke which can be life threatening.  Heat stroke symptoms include seizures and acting loopy.
