Logicalis Buys Auburn Hills-Based IT Provider Netarx
AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - Logicalis Group, an international provider of IT and communications technologies based in Berkshire, England, has acquired Auburn Hills-based Netarx, an IT services provider with $60 million a year in revenue, 229 employees and customers in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Arizona.
The purchase price was $34 million.
Logicalis has an office in Farmington Hills with 95 employees.
A Logicalis spokeswoman said there were no plans to trim staff at either office.
Logicalis said the acquisition builds on its existing strong Midwestern presence by expanding its IT consulting and services business, enhancing its managed services capabilities and adding a robust service desk.
The acquisition will also provide Netarx clients with access to Logicalis' outsourced services, cloud computing and data center management solutions across the United States.
Netarx was founded in 1997 and offers IT services, network monitoring and remote operations services.
