Westbrook Engineering Announces Fiber Optic Laser Demo Days

Warren-based Westbrook Engineering Co., exclusive Michigan distributor of the revolutionary CY Fiber Optic Laser, will be demonstrating the cost saving machinery at its location at 23501 Mound Road July 26, 27 and 28.

The demonstration will show the laser cutting a variety of materials and thicknesses. Factory representatives will offer daily seminars covering the benefits of the CY fiber optic laser, the IPG solid state generator and the Lantek "Expert Cut" Nexting Software. See why the CY fiber optic laser is the future in laser cutting today.

The CY fiber Optic Laser is changing the flat laser cutting industry with its ultra-low operating costs and no scheduled maintenance, The CY Laser has no mirror, no bellows, no laser or purge gasses and no blowers. It uses the IPG fiber generator which guarantees a minimum of 100,000 hours mean-time-between-failures.

The fiber optic laser technology used in CY Lasers has distinct advantages over traditional CO2 lasers. CO2 technology includes glass tubes, seals, blowers, vacuum pumps, laser gas, maintenance and bend mirrors.  The CO2 laser has a high run cost of up to $18 an hour with down time due to maintenance.  The costs are approximately $4 an hour to run a CY Fiber Optic Laser. CY Fiber Optic laser uses a minimum 100,000 hour life solid state technology, is virtually maintenance free and has a zero start-up time compared to the start-up time of a CO2 laser.

Westbrook Engineering has been a distributor of new and used metal fabricating machinery since 1964. Their product offering includes shears, press brakes, cold saws, band saws, lasers, water jets, punches, drills, mills, grinders, rolls, hydraulic presses and more. They also buy used machinery and offer auction and liquidation services.
