3 Shot At Detroit Strip Club, Gunman At Large

DETROIT (WWJ) - Blood lines the sidewalk outside a strip club in Detroit where three men were shot in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

WWJ's Ron Dewey reports the shooting took place inside of Mandee's On Broadway, just off Gratiot, where about 300 patrons were packed in the crowded nightclub.

Around 1:00 am, witnesses say they heard four gunshots, although police have found only one casing at this time.

Police say one person was taken to the hospital by Detroit EMS, while two others were taken by car. All are expected to recover from what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.

A surveillance tape shows one man being tapped on the shoulder and moving out of the frame before shots were fired, causing hundreds of people to flee.

What led to the shooting is still unclear, but a video from the club shows four suspects running out of the bar, one of them limping. The suspect is still at large.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at 313-267-4600.
