Novi-based Digital 10 Media said Friday that the Get Healthy Michigan statewide wellness program is launching its media campaign.

Faced with a staggering 30 percent obesity rate in Michigan, Get Healthy Michigan encourages individuals to take charge of their personal health and wellness and to make a positive change in our communities.

The Get Healthy Michigan campaign will begin airing today on Digital 10 Media’s exclusive TV networks, which are located in 88 Secretary of State locations and 14 welcome centers around the state, and viewed monthly by more than 1.5 million people.

“We believe that our agency can be a positive force for improving our communities, and we are committing our resources to make an appreciable difference,” said Dan Glisky Jr., Digital 10 Media CEO. Get Healthy Michigan will be featured in the August 2011 issue of Healthy & Fit Magazine and a statewide community cable program is currently being negotiated.

In September , Get Healthy Michigan will be a sponsor at the Healthy & Fit Magazine Expo in Lansing and the inaugural Get Healthy Day in Howell.
