Another Guilty Plea In Point-Shaving Scandal

DETROIT (AP) Another guilty plea in Detroit federal court in the University of Toledo sports point-shaving scandal.

Ex-Rockets basketball player Harvey “Scooter” McDougle Jr admits he accepted five thousand dollars in bribes from a Sterling Heights businessman for inside information about the team in 2004 and ’05.

He’ll likely face up to six months in prison. McDougle is the third ex- Toledo athlete to plead guilty.

Former football player Quinton Broussard is expected to enter a guilty plea early next month.
