DETROIT (WWJ) – The hot, humid weather is sticking around Metro Detroit all week – with temps expected to stay in the mid-90s. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory, in effect until Thursday evening.

An Excessive Heat Watch and Air Quality Alert were also issued for the area. (Click here for the latest weather alerts).

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach and exceed 90 degrees for many areas on Tuesday. The combination of high heat and humidity will cause heat index values to push into the middle and upper 90s on Tuesday and exceed 105 by Thursday.

The height of the heat wave is expected to impact the region on Wednesday and Thursday. High temperatures on both days are expected to range between 95 and 100 degrees.
