Number Of Homes Without Power Dwindles Since Storm
DETROIT (WWJ) - DTE Energy still has about 5,000 customers that do not have power Wednesday morning, due to the thunderstorms that rolled through metro Detroit on Monday.
Most of the outages are concentrated in Wayne County.
Spokesman John Austerberry says they hope to have the majority of the outages restored throughout the day on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, there is not much relief in the hotter than July weather forecast. The hot, humid weather is expected to be with us the rest of the week - with temperatures expected to stay in the mid-90s.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory, in effect until Thursday evening.
