'SNOBS' Help Businesses Get Off The Ground

WARREN (WWJ) - You can dine with some "SNOBS" Wednesday in Warren.

Ike Engelbaum heads up the group, which stands for Share Ideas and Networking Opportunities to Build Your Business. He said for more than 20 years, members have looked to each other for help in expanding their businesses or just getting ideas from scratch pad to storefront.

"People are looking, primarily now, for marketing strategies and how they can be more effective in their respective markets and that's what we do," Engelbaum said.

The group helps entrepreneurs get new ideas off the ground and help small businesses zero in on new customers. They also help inventors fine tune their creations.

"We have what's called a gateway inventors group where people bring their different ideas. Some of them have come up with an invention but they don't know how to market it or they need money for raising their idea to a higher level," Engelbaum said.

The meeting is Wednesday, July 20 from 11:30 am to 1:15 pm at Mongolian Buffet at 12 Mile and Ryan roads.  You'll have to spring for your own lunch but the meeting itself is free.

For reservations call Ike Engelbaum, 888-489-8980, 313-929-6105, or email lynn@entrepreneursnetworkofmichigan.
