Audi Has Edge Over Competition's In-Car Navigation Systems

DETROIT (WWJ) - When it comes to navigation systems, some auto makers do better than others. But, nobody comes close to offering the kind of navigation system that Audi does.

On most navigation systems in cars, you look on a map on a screen to see where you are and where you're going. But Audi is now using maps from Google Earth - satellite images of the actual roads, buildings and surroundings of where you're driving.

This technology lets drivers use buildings as landmarks of where to turn, instead of squinting to read street signs.

So far, Audi has an exclusive agreement to use Google Earth on its navigation system.
