Oakco Officials Searching For Man Vandalizing Gas Stations

LAKE ORION (WWJ) - Oakland County Sheriff's Department investigators will be reviewing video surveillance Monday in hopes of finding a man wanted for breaking into several gas stations.

The suspect, who smashed the glass of the Mobil gas station on Lapeer Road near Lake Orion early Sunday morning, is believed to be the same man who broke into a BP station on Joslyn Road and other stations throughout the county earlier. He took several cartons of cigarettes and some rolled coins.

The suspect was wearing a dark-colored work shirt and dark pants. He's described as a white male, thin build with balding and short hair. Police say the suspect apparently cut himself while smashing the door. Blood evidence was collected and will be tested for DNA.
