Is Detroit Red Wing Kris Draper planning to retire?  According to reports, Monday, the 40-year-old veteran forward is expected to make the announcement on Tuesday.

According to CBS Sports, it seems the Wings mistakenly announced Draper’s retirement on their website earlier, Monday, but the post was removed shortly after it appeared.

The Wings have scheduled a press conference for Tuesday, July 26 at 11 a.m.. Red Wings general manager Ken Holland as well as Draper are scheduled to speak.

Draper joined the Wings in 1993, acquired from the Winnipeg Jets for only $1. He went on to win four Stanley Cups with the Wings.
