The NFL lockout is over and training camp is just around the corner. No matter what rhetoric each side was throwing around, you knew there was no way the season was going to be a wash. Ok, so we lose the Hall of Fame Game, who cares. The Detroit Lions training camp begins Thursday July 28th with the first practice taking place this Friday July 29th. The NFL will publish the Free Agency List this Friday and we’ll see how active the Lions are.

Detroit Lions President Tom Lewand joined the Stoney and Bill Show Tuesday morning to talk about the lockout and the upcoming 2011 season.

Tom also mentioned that an open practice schedule will be available in the very near future. If you have never been to an open practice, by all means you should check it out; they’re a lot of fun. Who knows, you may be watching a playoff contending team.
