Gov. Snyder Not Bothered By Recall Efforts

LANSING (WWJ) - Governor Rick Synder said he's trying to put Michigan back on the right track and he won't be derailed by all the recent recall efforts.

"It's part of Democracy. People are out there looking to raise issues and concerns. But as a practical matter, in good faith, I'm trying to do the right thing for Michigan. I believe we're on a very positive path to reinvent the state, and that includes so many different dimensions," Gov. Snyder said.

About five-thousand people signed a petition to recall the governor at the Ann Arbor Art Fair last weekend. Other recall efforts have been taking shape across the state.

More than 800,000 valid signatures have to be collected by August 5th in order to get the recall measure of the November ballot.

In a poll of CBSDetroit.com readers, nearly 80 percent of people said they would support a recall of Gov. Snyder. (Read More Here)
