Lions Sign LB Justin Durant
Multiple sources reported Wednesday that the Lions reached an agreement with former Jaguars LB Justin Durant. The two-year deal will allow him to compete for a starting job in training camp. Durant had 55 tackles in 10 games last season for Jacksonville before missing extended time with a groin injury.
Durant has been a solid tackler in his NFL career, but he has not impacted the turnover game thus far as a pro. He has just two career interceptions and one forced fumble in 50 games, to go along with just two sacks. Durant has the chance to have a bigger role behind a premiere defensive line in Detroit, though he remains a marginal IDP Fantasy option likely not worth a selection on Draft Day.
