Suspect In Ark. Shootings Surrenders In Michigan

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) – A man identified as a suspect in a shooting in Fort Smith, Ark. that killed two women – one of them pregnant – has surrendered to authorities in Michigan.

The Fort Smith Police Department says in a news release that a man claiming to be 29-year-old Kevin Wolfe called a police investigator early Thursday. Wolfe told the investigator he was thinking of turning himself in.

At 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Fort Smith police were told that Wolfe had surrendered to authorities in Saginaw, Mich., almost 1,000 miles away. It was not immediately clear Thursday why Wolfe was in Michigan.

Fort Smith police say they’re arranging for Wolfe to be returned to Arkansas.

He’s wanted for capital murder in the deaths of Jada Moses, Aligene Seals and of Seals’ fetus.
