New Records Hoping To Be Set At Cedar Point

SANDUSKY, OH (WWJ) - If you've ever wanted to be part of a Guinness World Record, Sunday is your chance at Cedar Point.

The theme park is hoping to break the world record for the most people applying sunscreen simultaneously and they're hoping to establish a new category, the most beach balls in the air at the same time.

Cedar Point's Robin Innes says their sister parks are trying to set their own records too.

"We want to do something fun, some events that kind of related to being at the park and having fun, so we worked with the people at Guinness (World Records) to come up with these ideas," said Innes.

The current sunscreen record is 675, while they're hoping to get 250 beach balls airborne.  If you're interested, get to the park by 9 a.m. Sunday, tickets are also only $36 dollars that day.
