Suspects Sought In Pot Sale Shooting

LENOX TWP. (WWJ) – Officials Macomb County say an apparent drug deal led to a shooting in Lenox Township.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the victim and his passenger drove to an area on Forest Road to meet with three men to trade or sell marijuana. When they arrived about 9:30 p.m., Sunday, the suspects fired several shots into the victim’s vehicle, hitting the driver in the arm and chest.

The 22-year-old man from Richmond was taken to the Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition Monday morning. The passenger was not injured.

Police are still searching for the suspects, described as three black males. There were driving a white mid-size SUV –possibly a Land Rover or Ford Explorer.
