Anthony Adams Reportedly Resigns From School Board

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Board of Education president Anthony Adams has reportedly resigned Tuesday from the 11-member school board, citing the need to focus on his private business interests in the city.

Adams told WDIV-TV that he has "been contemplating this for quite a while,".

A former deputy mayor to Kwame Kilpatrick, Adams said back in May that he would not seek another term.
