Oneupweb Sets Career Fair
Located on the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay just north of Traverse City, Oneupweb has more than great views -- the digital marketing agency is comprised of a recent remodel finished with bleeding edge technology, a rapidly growing client base and more than 40 brilliant employees.
"Our growth makes us realize why we're still trailblazing the digital marketing world," said Oneupweb founder and CEO, Lisa Wehr. "And we want to continue to shape the industry. This means we need to create and execute more ideas, which is why we are looking for additional team members to help us with our mission. The last time we held a career fair was in 2008 and we had more than 100 attendees; we're hoping to have even more this year."
With nine open positions, and a nearly 100 percent revenue increase over the past year, Oneupweb has scheduled a career fair on Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at its headquarters, 13561 S. West Bayshore Drive in Traverse City.

"Recruitment in our industry can be challenging," said Oneupweb director of human resources, Anne Rix. "Especially since most of our competitors are based in major metros, like New York and Los Angeles; residing in Northern Michigan can seem daunting to some folks, but once people visit they instantly understand why we have chosen to keep our business here in Traverse City."
Not only do Oneupweb employees work hard to play hard, they also make sure to have fun at the office, with company BBQs and game days in their recreational room, which is fully stocked with ping-pong, vintage arcade games, Wii and more.
"We're a fun bunch here," Rix said. "We even created a promo video to introduce ourselves and our personalities to those interested in attending our career fair. To help interviewees feel part of our unique company culture, we ask that they sport their favorite hat at our event."
