Car Wash Prepares Cruisers For Dream Cruise Weekend

BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - Still a few days away from the official start of the 17th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise, but it isn't hard to find a few vintage vehicles already making their way up and down Woodward Avenue.

Jesse Eucher, manager of Jax Car Wash in Birmingham, said he and his crew get re-acquainted with the classic cars and their owners each year at cruise time.

"Every year is different, you know, it brings new people and is bigger every year. We're already cruising."

Eucher said the shop has been busy this week, making sure cruisers are ready for their close-ups. He said some people are so into their cars, they even bring their own cleaning products along with their car. Luckily, his crew is well-versed in treating delicate, vintage interiors with care.

"Some  guys want us to use their own stuff. They're very caring about their cars, you know, they have been in their families for years, so they take care of them just as if it was a sibling."

WWJ is hosting a Dream Cruise Business Breakfast, "Motor City Muscle," Friday morning at Duggan's Irish Pub along Woodward.  The public is welcome to join the food and conversation with panelists from GM, Ford and Chrysler. Click here for more information.
