ROYAL OAK (WWJ) – Berkley and Royal Oak police tell WWJ that the Woodward Dream Cruise has been shut down in their repective cities.

WWJ’s Lance Howard reports from the traffic chopper that traffic is moving along Woodward in both directions for the last part of the official Dream Cruise and folks have moved their chairs back along the route to see the classics.

Speaking live on WWJ Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says that Pontiac never shut down their portion of the Dream Cruise.

A gusty and at times dangerous storm rolled through metro Detroit late Saturday afternoon, disrupting the daylong cruise event. Folks took cover when needed but much damage was left in the wake of the storm.
