Chevrolet To Donate CNG Van To Science Center

The Chevrolet division of General Motors will donate a compressed natural gas-powered Express cargo van to the Detroit Science Center Thursday.

The science center will use the van to take its Traveling Science programs on the road to Michigan school children and communities this fall.

Additionally, the GM Foundation will present the museum with $96,000 as part of its $1.4 million, multi-year pledge in support of the "On the Road with General Motors" exhibit gallery.

Youth groups from The Learning Experience in South Lyon and Kindercare in Sterling Heights will participate in a fun activity after the presentation.
