Ann Arbor Firm Helps Nylon Magazine Expand iPad App

New York City-based Nylon magazine has expanded its digital publishing capabilities with the help of Aysling Digital Media Solutions of Ann Arbor.

Starting with Liv Tyler on their first cover in April 1999, Nylon magazine has broadened women's insight monthly as an authoritative channel for beauty, fashion, culture and music.

Twelve years later, Nylon continues to push the media envelope, with a July iPad Music Issue promotion, where readers were offered more than 20 free music downloads featuring new artists from around the world.

"Aysling consistently provides seamless software solutions and their work on our highly anticipated June-July 2011 issue was no exception," said Nylon publisher Jaclynn Jarrett. "The annual music issue is always a reader favorite, and this year we made the free iPad edition even better, offering readers over 20 free songs to enjoy."

Said Aysling president Patrick Becker: "We welcome the opportunity to work with Nylon to explore and integrate bold new ideas for iPad apps and digital publishing solutions. Aysling was selected given our approach, knowledge base and history for delivering exceptional cross-media solutions for the publishing industry."
