DETROIT (WWJ) - Greektown Casino is hosting a charity golf outing to benefit local nonprofits that instill leadership skills in Detroit area youth. The event will tee off on Monday, August 29 at Shenandoah Country Club in West Bloomfield.

All proceeds will be distributed equally among three local youth charities: Think Detroit PAL, Boys Hope Girls Hope and the Coleman A. Young Foundation.

“We are delighted to host this fun-filled event that brings together local companies and individuals for the important cause that is our city’s youth. Through this event we hope to make an impact for these organizations which are so committed every day to the future of our children,” President and CEO of Greektown Casino, Michael Puggi said in a release.

In addition to the golf, guests can participate in numerous contests, such as longest drive and closest to the pin. Two hole-in-one prizes and a Harley Davidson will also be up for grabs. The event will culminate with an awards dinner and live auction featuring an array of donated items.
