KALAMAZOO (AP) - A 22-year-old Kalamazoo man has been arrested in a string of vehicle burglaries in and around the city’s downtown.
Police say the man was arrested Friday at a home in the city and is believed to be responsible for more than 30 break-ins.
Property taken from some of the vehicles has been recovered.
Kalamazoo police said in a release that surveillance was started on the downtown area after an increase in car break-ins. The suspect was identified from fingerprints.
