Adrian College Helping Students Displaced By Off-Campus Apartment Fire

ADRIAN (WWJ) – Officials at Adrian College are working to find alternate housing for students displaced by a fire at an off-campus apartment building.

Monday afternoon’s blaze burned a large portion of the 38-unit Orchard Apartments building, next to the school’s campus in Adrian.

No injuries were reported. Cause of the blaze wasn’t immediately clear. He says inspectors were checking the building before deciding when residents could return.

Thirteen students and two faculty members live in the units, which aren’t owned by the school.
