MIDLAND (AP) – A Clare man has been charged in a suspected hit-and-run crash that killed a couple on U.S. 10 in Midland County.
Twenty-three-year-old Nicholas Gordon Andrews was arraigned Monday on two charges of vehicular homicide in Midland County’s 75th District Court. He was denied bond and is in jail.
Authorities say Andrews and his pickup truck were discovered Saturday in Isabella County. Sixty-nine-year-old Theodore Fackler and his 67-year-old wife, Barbara, were killed early Saturday when their car was struck by a pickup on U.S. 10 in Warren Township, northwest of Midland.
The Facklers lived in Gladwin County.
Andrews has no attorney.
