Beaumont Troy Earns Chest Pain Accreditation: Beaumont Hospital Troy has earned accreditation as a chest pain center with percutaneous coronary intervention from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, an international organization focused on improving care for heart patients. The three-year accreditation signifies that Beaumont, Troy has the expertise and commitment to provide high quality chest pain care by meeting or exceeding stringent SCPC criteria that includes coordinating chest pain care with local EMS agencies, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients quickly, effectively treating low-risk patients with no definitive cause for chest pain symptoms, continually improving processes, ensuring staff competence and training, and supporting community outreach programs that educate the public on promptly seeking medical care for chest pain symptoms.
