Say hello to Annabelle! Photo by Heidi Waeschle-Gabel.

Ready to add a new companion to your house? It’s a great time. The Humane Society is offering a special promotion: $150 for all dogs and puppies, and $10 for all cats and kittens.

Annabelle is an 8-year-old terrier mix looking for her forever home. Annabelle would do best in a low-traffic, quiet home where she can curl up on your lap to get some much-needed shuteye. Her adoption fee includes sterilization, age-appropriate vaccinations and much more. For more information, visit or call the Michigan Humane Society’s Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care at (248) 852-7420 and provide the pet ID number 13412078.

Caesar is a handsome, 7-year-old domestic long-haired cat. He has a regal disposition and gets along well with people as well as other cats. The adoption fee includes microchipping, sterilization, age-appropriate vaccinations and much more. For more information, visit or call the Michigan Humane Society’s Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care at (248) 852-7420 and provide the pet ID number 9511096.

Annabelle and Caesar are available at the Rochester Hills location at 3600 Auburn Road, between Crooks and Adams. Many more are available at the Westland site — 900 N. Newburgh Road — and at the Detroit shelter, 7401 Chrysler in Detroit.

The adoption centers are open 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesdays. Call the Detroit shelter at 313-872-0004; or the Westland site at 734-721-4195.
