Gravel Hauler Spewed Rocks All Over I-75

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - The Friday morning drive got off to a rocky start for those in Auburn Hills.

A gravel hauler rolled over around 7 a.m. and blocked the left two lanes on Southbound I-75 at M-59 for almost two hours. The ramp from I-75 Southbound to M-59 Eastbound was blocked until around 9:30 a.m. while crews cleared the spilled gravel and wreckers removed the overturned truck.

WWJ's Bill Szumanski was over the scene in the LaFontaine Cadillac Buick GMC Chopper.

"When this gravel hauler flipped on its side, it spewed all of the gravel across the freeway. At one point, we had all lanes shut down here. County work crews were out here, sweeping up this debris, just getting everything pushed off to the shoulder," Skubick said.
