Woman In Critical Condition After Being Hit While Crossing Street
MONROE (WWJ) - Monroe Police say a 50-year-old woman remains in critical condition, after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
According to police, the woman was attempting to walk across Telegraph Road at the corner of Fredericks Drive around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a southbound traveling vehicle.
The woman was taken to Mercy Hospital and then to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, OH where she is listen in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle is a 20-year-old female, also from Monroe.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
