14,000 Foreclosed Properties Up For Auction

DETROIT (WWJ) – More than 14,000 parcels of residential and commercial property will be up for grabs this month in Wayne County’s second annual online auction for foreclosed properties.

WWJ Newsradio 950 spoke with Wayne County Treasurer Raymond Wojtowicz,  who will conduct the auction.

“We made sure that the process is accessible to everyone who wants to participate and to receive much-needed revenue for our local communities,” said Wojtowicz.

“What we’re trying to do is encourage all Michiganians to take advantage of this opportunity, get involved in the auction. So, when you purchase property you control its destiny and help build a strong Wayne County,” he said.

Auction dates are September 16-22. You must be registered by Friday, September 9 to participate.

For more information on deposits and fees, and to register, visit www.Bid4Assets.com or call 1 (877) 427-7387. You will find a list of available properties at www.treasury.waynecounty.com.
