Bill Seeks To Ban Prisoner Access To Pornography

LANSING (AP) – A West Michigan lawmaker says she wants to ban porn in Michigan prisons.

On Thursday, Republican Sen. Tonya Schuitmaker of Van Buren County’s Antwerp Township introduced Senate Bill 627, which would prohibit Michigan prison inmates from receiving or possessing sexually explicit materials.

The bill has been referred to the Judiciary Committee. It would ban materials that show or describe sexual organs and sexual acts.

The Corrections Department already has a policy banning prisoner possession of mail describing or depicting certain sexual acts and materials involving children. Some nude photographs also are prohibited.

Really? Is that of high importance to the state of the State? Who is the moron that has the prisoners sexual fantasies on his mind? What is his real problem?

This is the worst thing to come out of the state house. Get on with something important to those that live outside the prisons, your constituents.
