Drop Off In Troy For Military Care Packages

TROY (WWJ) – You can help bring a little bit of home and comfort to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy – along with Military Moms United – is holding its fourth annual Care Package Drive.

David Krall is vice president of the cemetery, and he says they’re looking for all kinds of item donations for the packages.

“Hard candy, beef jerky, some pillow cases, crew socks, hand sanitizer, baby wipes. I mean sometimes these guys are out there on patrol for a couple of weeks and they don’t get a chance to even take a shower, and a baby wipe is the only thing they have to clean up with,” said Krall.

Items can be donated at the cemetery until the end of the week.
