Police Investigate Fatal Accident In Clinton Township

CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - A deadly wreck in Clinton Township is under investigation Wednesday morning.

Investigators say a 66-year-old man was killed around 7 p.m. Tuesday after losing control of his car on eastbound I-94 between 14 Mile and the Harper exit. The vehicle crashed into the retaining wall separating the east and westbound lanes.

Two nurses who were passing by the accident stopped and performed CPR before paramedics arrived and transported the man to Mt. Clemens Regional Hospital, where he later died.
