Oakland County Wins Best Web Site Award For Fifth Consecutive Year: Oakland County’s Web site has been named one of the best government Web sites in the nation for the fifth consecutive year. Oakgov.com garnered second place among more than 3,000 counties in the Center for Digital Government’s 2011 Best of the Web competition. The annual Best of the Web ranking honors outstanding government Web sites that have taken the power of the Web to the next level. Oakland was recognized for innovative use of technology in delivering high quality services despite tight fiscal constraints. Oakland’s newest offerings make the county Web site more accessible and easier to use.
