PONTIAC (WWJ) – A Pontiac woman is OK but may be a bit embarassed following reports she got lost walking her dogs in a park Thursday night.

The 35-year-old woman was walking her two dogs in Independence Oaks County Park off of Sashabaw Road around 9 p.m. when authorities say she got lost on the trails.

The woman, whose name was not provided to the media, called 911 for help. The sheriff’s department responded and, using GPS coordinates, deputies were able to find the area she was in.
