WWJ's John Bailey Prepares For Charity Bike Ride

BRIGHTON (WWJ) - WWJ's own traffic reporter John Bailey will be saddling up Saturday morning for a long ride. The avid bike rider is taking part in a charity bike ride on Island Lake Recreation Area in Brighton.

"It's called the MS-150. It's to raise money for multiple sclerosis and I'm taking up pledges, donations, sponsors. I think I'm up to $610 so far of personal pledges and I'm shooting for $750. So, I still need some people to pledge some money. I was going to shoot for $1,000 but my wife said, 'Well, how many friends do you have,'" he said.

Bailey expects to complete the ride in about an hour and a half.

"We're going to start on the far west end of the park and do a loop route that will eventually end up being about 24 miles," he said.

The bike ride begins at 10 a.m. You can contribute to the cause at this link.
