Android Industries Will Add 150 Jobs At Focus: HOPE Site

DETROIT (WWJ) - Focus: HOPE and Android Industries are now partners in a venture that will create new jobs.

Android will lease space at Focus: HOPE, where parts from the Chevy Volt will be assembled.

CEO of Focus: HOPE William Jones tells WWJ's Pat Sweeting that Android was open to talks about partnering with his organization ... if it made good business sense:

"There absolutely had to be a business case, and now because this business case proved out, they are an invaluable partner with Focus: HOPE in bringing manufacturing jobs back to the city, and it's a relationship that's also helping bring jobs right here into this neighborhood," said Jones.

"That goes with our increased volume, what we are seeing here is a 10 percent footprint of what we are going to be doing in this factory currently, and so when we are at full production with the jobs in Warren, with the jobs up here, we are talking about a 150 jobs for the Focus: HOPE people," said Android CEO Jerry Elson.
