State Police To Investigate Cause Of 27-Year-Old's Death

WARREN (WWJ) - Michigan State Police will take over the investigation into the death of a man who was subdued by Warren officers with a Taser.

Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green issued a statement, saying his department requested the State Police to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of the 27-year-old.

The incident happened early Saturday morning when police responded to reports of a home invasion near 9 Mile and Ryan. Detectives say they can't release any additional information about the case, since the investigation is ongoing.
